If you're reading this, you are looking for the best hybrid bike available but want to stay within a very specific budget range, getting the right features and high quality, without busting your wallet at the same time.
Right now, there's one fact about the hybrid bike market -- popularity has exploded over the last few years, and many retail stores and manufacturers are jacking up their prices to capitalize on the new popularity.
Just because a bike is being sold at a high-end price tag doesn't necessarily mean the bike is high-end. Most times, you can find a comparable bike for far less than what most retailers and manufacturers are selling their hybrids for.
There are quite a few bikes on the market that are excellent hybrid bikes, with all of the features most riders will need, and haven't been marked up with sky-high price tags. One of those bikes, which we'll break down in a second, is the In-The-Barrel Beach Cruiser, from Sixthreezero.
Extended steel frame, forward pedal design
Shimano 3-speed hub with Nexus shifter (1, 3 or 7 choice)
7.5 x 27 x 57.5 inches
Slick mesh tread
Black leather bubble saddle, black leather grips
This 26-inch Beach Cruiser bike from Sixthreezero is on our list of top three hybrid bikes for men for several different reasons. One of them is the price tag, which is incredibly reasonable for a hybrid bike with this level of quality and features.
The Beach Cruiser has a wide range of features that appeal to most skill level riders and a really great design. What is probably the most unique thing about this bike is that you are able to customize it to get exactly what you want, including the color and the number of speeds.
The frame is designed for forward pedaling and built with high quality steel, measuring 18 inches.
Everything about the bike helps provide a quality ride, from the black leather bubble style saddle to the black leather grips with stylish stitching. The bike is named after a surfing term, which is appropriate since this bike is perfect for cruising the beach, as well as riding mountain side trails and pedaling through the city.
Let’s take a look at some of the features.
This bike is definitely a cut above the rest and, when you compare it to its closest competitors, there is no question that this is the superior bike.
It offers an upright seating position, with relaxed and forward pedaling riding positions on a posture-perfect frame style, along with multiple speed options, dual brakes and much more.
It's easy to see that you get much more for your money when you look at a side-by-side comparison of this bike and some of the closest competitors. You'll be happy with your purchase, just as nearly every other buyer of the In-the-Barrel has experienced, especially since it offers you so much customization.
The customer reviews we've found for this bike are pretty incredible. First of all, 93% of the people that bought this bike rated it at four stars and above. Almost all of those 93% were rated at five stars, giving it a perfect score.
People boasted about how great the bike was for the beach and how well it transitions between dirt trails and city asphalt. They also commented on how solid the bike was and how well constructed it is without being bulky, heavy, and hard to transport.
The thing that most people were pleased about was the price. This is a premium bike with the price tag of a budget bike.
Of course, not every purchase can be perfect for every person and in this case there are a some people who mentioned that they had a problem with the pedals. People who complained claimed that the pedals fell apart after a hard day of riding at the beach.
There is something you need to think about when you're reading these complaints, though. A large majority of people never experienced these issues with the pedals, and spoke to how well the bike was holding up even after years of use and abuse.
That means the pedal issue may be isolated, and it's impossible to know how the bike was actually cared for.
With that being said, pedals are easy to replace, and are considered universal parts so if you do have issues with the pedals on your Cruiser you can easily get a new set from your local department store or bike shop, and have them installed in a few short minutes.
The bike does come in three different speed configurations and the price difference is actually pretty small between them.
You should make your decision based upon the speed that you think you might need in the future for this reason, because the 7-speed isn’t that far from the price of the 1-speed bike. If you think you're going through a wide variety of terrains, you'll want to get the 7-speed. If you think you're only going to use it on asphalt, the single speed model will be more than enough.
There is also the option for pay an extra $60 for assembly, but there is really no reason to, because some of the reviewers mentioned their own experiences with assembly and it seemed like nobody had any issues getting it assembled.
So, the Sixthreezero 26-Inch Beach Cruiser Bike has a wide range of great features and a design that is built like a Sherman tank, sturdy and comfortable while still being one of the lightest bikes out there. It features a forward pedal design and a leather saddle seat that makes a pleasure to ride and almost effortless to pedal.
I definitely recommend that you get the Sixthreezero In-The-Barrel Beach Cruiser.
It is one of the top bikes out there that combines city, country, and beach riding with ease. The huge number of positive reviews shows that most customers have been really happy with their bike so far and it is a much higher quality bike than the price tag would lead you to believe.
If you want or need a men’s hybrid bike and you want to save some money over the ridiculously overpriced models, this is a great bike for you.

Over the last few years, I’ve taken my love of the outdoors, hiking, skiing, trekking and exploring to the next level by starting this site. I started a bike shop in Denver, CO, and have seen amazing growth over the last few years. Getting paid to do what I love has been a dream come true for me. That’s also what led me to start BikesReviewed.com. In my shop, I spend a large amount of time helping people find the perfect bike for them and the style of biking they’re going to be doing. It only made sense that I expanded my reach and got online, making it possible for me to help people all over the world. If biking and staying fit is your priority, too, you’ve come to the right place.
