These are much more complicated to assemble and way trickier to properly adjust than rim brakes. I chose this for the disk brake which I thought was a good thing and for the aluminum fork which is found in higher-end bikes over $700 – otherwise, you’d be in the $500 range. However, I’m also a bit disappointed with the quality of several other items. The derailleur, one of the most critical components, is not a Shimano but some unknown brand. We’ll see how it goes.
